Abstract

Knowledge engineering and Artificial Intelligence (AI) techniques provide useful components for decision making processes while becoming important elements of several hybrid integrated systems. Such techniques offer, among others, features such as: providing solutions for domain specific problems, learning from experience, handling incomplete, noisy and unstructured data, predicting capabilities. The Decisional DNA Manager is a software platform for experience administration based upon a multi-domain knowledge representation structure called Set of Experience Knowledge Structure (SOEKS) and the Decisional DNA. This software allows collecting, storing, improving, and reusing decisional experience from formal decision events. It can be used as a tool to analyze, query, consolidate and administer semantic experience captured by the means of SOEKS and Decisional DNA. Additionally, the software allows exportation of semantic experience into XML and OWL as a way to share knowledge.

In the Decisional DNA manager workshop, we will present an easy to follow step-by-step tutorial to introduce the user into the general elements of the software structure. Executable software together with some examples of introductory papers on Decisional DNA and SOEKS knowledge representation concepts will be provided to the conference participants on the USB included in the conference package.
